United Way
WLI is has pledged support for site visits by United Way’s Math, Science and Technology Initiative. During these visits, WLI scientists with teaching backgrounds interact with underserved children to educate them about careers in science. WLI will also donate time and resources to veterans returning home from the war in Iraq, so that they may explore a career in laboratory science. The Pan-Mass Challenge
The Pan-Mass Challenge is the nation’s original fundraising bike-a-thon, raising more money than any other athletic fundraising event in the country. In 2008, WLI sponsored four employee riders as they endured the 47-mile trek to benefit cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.
