Wolfe Laboratories Inc. is seeking a Director of Bioanalytical Chemistry. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the scientific and professional leadership of the company’s bioanalytical chemistry service offerings.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing direct input to corporate strategic planning, critical path issues/solutions, resource management, and project management
Planning, coordinating, managing, and developing a scientific staff
Interacting successfully with clients and prospective clients in pre-sales, post-sales, and ongoing project meetings
Providing client relationship management including proposal development, submittal, and follow-up
Coordinating and developing yearly departmental programs, strategic plans, and annual budgets
REQUIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry, Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics, or related field
Ten (10) years of industry experience in pharmaceutical drug development or a related field
Three (3) years of experience as a manager at an associate director level or above
In depth expertise in bioanalytical and DMPK chemistry in the pharmaceutical or related industry including significant LC/MS/MS experience
In depth expertise in pharmacokinetic analysis in support of early in vivo discovery research using state-of-the-art LC/MS/MS instrumentation
Experience with pharmaceutics support to discovery and early development, particularly in the areas of parenteral and oral delivery
Knowledge of GxP and regulatory standards
Outstanding written and oral communication skills as well as polished and persuasive client presentation skills
Established track record of significant contributions as an individual technical expert
Established track record of building and leading high performance teams of technical talented scientists producing high quality work

In depth expertise in protein characterization using LC/MS/MS techniques
