Trivia

What is the story behind the London Bridge in Arizona?

a) Sent to Arizona to save it from German bombers during World War II.
b) Sold by the British government to an oil executive in Arizona.
c) Built to commemorate the life and works of Jack London.
d) Built for a theme park in Arizona.

B. The London Bridge, located in Lake Havasu, Arizona was originally constructed in London, England in 1831. By 1962, increased traffic and signs of structural fatigue led the British government to put the bridge up for sale. Robert McCulloch, chairman of the McCulloch Oil Corporation purchased the bridge, disassembling the bridge brick by brick and reassembling it in his home town. The bridge was opened in 1971 and still serves as a popular tourist attraction today.
