Trivia

Pick the incorrect answer for the Clifton Bridge in England:

a. Recycled from another bridge
b. Completed ahead of schedule in 1840
c. The site of 127 fatal falls and one birth
d. Originally ornamented with sphinxes, hieroglyphics and other Egyptian art

b. The Clifton Bridge in England was not completed ahead of schedule. The project took roughly 33 years to complete, due to lack of materials, along with financial and political difficulties. The bridge was abandoned until construction was resumed in 1862, when the Institution of Civil Engineers decided the completion of the bridge would be a fitting memorial to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the original overseer of the construction of this architectural marvel.
