The Prague Astronomical Clock or Prague Orloj (Prausk Orloj) is one of the city's major tourist attractions. Mounted on the Old Town Hall in Old Town Square, this grand clock receives much attention. Legendary clock master Hanus rebuilt the clock in 1490 and as the story goes, Councilors’ had him blinded so as to never build a greater instrument. Before he died, Hanus deliberately damaged the clock and cursed the instrument but did not fast at any point while building the infamous clock.
