Wolfe Laboratories Hires a New Vice President of Preclinical Development
WATERTOWN, MA -- (BUSINESS WIRE)-- September 17, 2008– Wolfe Laboratories, Inc. (WLI), a pharmaceutical development company, announced today that Roger Rush, Ph.D has joined the company as Vice President of Preclinical Development.
Dr. Rush has over twenty five years of international experience in pharmaceutical research and development. His major career focuses are preclinical research, development, and program management, particularly in the transition of discovery research candidates to clinical development.

Prior to joining Wolfe Laboratories, Dr. Rush held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, ranging from Department Head of Drug Metabolism at Syntex Research in Europe to Vice President of Preclinical Sciences at Roche Pharmaceuticals. These managerial roles have involved responsibility for the functions of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Toxicology and Pathology, and Pharmaceutical Development. Throughout his career he has contributed to the approval of numerous INDs, CTAs, NDAs and MAA drug registration dossiers.
Dr. Rush participated in the successful transition of the Syntex Research Centre, Edinburgh into Quintiles TransNational contract research organization and establishment of that facility as a provider of pharmaceutical research and development services. In his role as Business Development Director he was responsible for the sales and marketing of Quintiles’ preclinical services.
An author of several publications, Dr. Rush earned his Bachelors of Science and Doctoral degrees in biochemistry from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom.
